Dear 'Stand Up Nigeria' Volunteer Back

Dear Volunteer,

Stand Up Nigeria [SUN]

A Facebook Campaign; the Birth of a New Hope.

You are very welcome, and thank you for your initiative to be a part of something special; the seeds of a - new hope and great vision. The coming together, of a diversity of persons, behind one common hope. That our nation Nigeria will move forward, for the common interest of us all.

What joins us together is the institution of our great nationhood, and what better time for this responsible gathering, than the consciousness of Change sitting around us.
And whispering, we act together.

The dissatisfaction of the years behind us, are a burden. Many Nigerians live in hardship. They live in unbelief, even disbelief…that any real nationhood exists. That the nationhood called Nigeria is unconcerned and irrelevant to their suffering plight. That their lives must be lived, in quiet desperation, and endless pain and sweaty hustle.

This is not nice! Or is it?

Well…you must answer this simple question with - truth and a moral conscience,
And in Godly responsibility
In order for you to understand the abiding solutions.

ARE YOU YOUR BROTHER’S KEEPER?

* Between North & South.

* Between Christian & Moslem.

* Between Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba, Igbo, Nupe, Middle Belt, Adamawa, Bornu, Niger Delta, Edo or Cross River - regions.

Soon, Nigeria will be 50 years old.
A joyous and reflective occasion.
But more reflection than joy.
The joy, being our endurance.
And the reflection…being the instability and many un-triumphs we’ve contended and had angst.

But all this, we can put behind us, if we rise up to the good challenge - and
Responsibility of our new destiny. We are a great nation, and you have an opportunity
To help realize it.

Welcome and peace be unto you, as you fulfill the challenge.

This campaign is informed by both the successes and failures of our
Nigerian History, that a wide mass of Nigerians decide to stand together and choose a new and
Better future as one nation under God, with tolerance and love of one another;
As equals.

This campaign will start off as a Facebook venture.
And later on become a public arena affair.
